FAQ

Packaging and production times

My current production times are stated within each listing on my Etsy shop.
Ready made items typically take 3-5 working days to ship from the moment of purchase.
Made to order items, instead, can take up to 4-6 weeks for production time and shipping.
In both cases I will do my best to ship your package sooner if possible. If you have a specific deadline, please get in touch and I will try as I can to accommodate your needs.
All the products will arrive to you in a nice present box. I try my best to reuse and upcycle as much packaging material as I can. Hence each package will be slightly different from one another, but all will have in common a good dose of gratitude and love!
If you desire you can also contact me to add a personal message!
All af the items are shipped in a sturdy recycled paper envelope and come wrapped in second hand bubble wrap to prevent any damege.

PLEASE keep in mind that shipping times do not depend on me, but on the post services/couriers. I am not responsible for any delay.

Depending on your country you may encounter custom fees when you receive your package. Unfortunately there’s nothing I can do to avoid it.

Care Instructions

While I build my pieces to last, many of the materials are naturally sensitive to moisture and may tarnish when exposed to water, so please be gentle with your treasures!

Silver is a metal that oxidizes over time, especially if not properly taken care of.

To keep the finish as long as possible, avoid prolonged exposure to water or chemicals (some perfumes, detergents, lotions or house cleaning products contain harsh chemicals that can ruin your jewel).

The oxidation process, though, is natural on the long run: the jewel grows and adapts to the wearer.

The metal tends to become darker and warmer in tone.
You can bring back the original shine by rubbing with a soft cloth and, on occurrence, by using a small amount of gentle soap.

Custom Orders

I am not accepting customs neither commissions at the moment. I’m sorry to decline your requests, but my time schedule doesn’t allow me to accept any more work right now. Being a one woman show means that my energy and possibilities are limited in this sense. I hope you’ll understand that is nothing personal and I really do appreciate your support and kindness.

Returns and refunds

If you’re unhappy with your purchase, from the day of delivery you have 14 days to get in touch with me and 30 more days to ship the item back.

When returning a piece, make sure it is safely packaged and shipped with a tracked option. If the item gets damaged or lost during the way back to me, I won’t proceed to make any refund/exchange.

When I receive back the intact piece, I will refund the total cost of your order, except shipping costs, OR will send you another item of equal value (shipping cost is due).

Any additional custom fee expenses, on my side or the client’s, must be paid by the client.
You can only have refund one time per item. Only exception is if the item has important structural flaws. In this case I will cover for half of the shipping cost and fees.

Eventuality of lost parcels

Once I leave the package to the post office, I don’t have control over the shipping process. For this reason the customer is responsible for filing missing parcel compliances to their postal service.
Being a small handmade business means that each purchase makes a difference. On the flip side, every piece has a high cost that I have to cover in materials and taxes. For this reason I cannot guarantee I will be able to make a total refund for a lost parcel.
Yet, if for some unfortunate even, your item gets lost in the mail, I will do my best to help you throughout the process and reach a compromise together.

Sizing

Due to the handmade nature of my work, all ring sizes and chain lengths are definitive. So please read carefully the item’s description and measure your finger size before purchasing. If you’re unsure about your ring size, you can get it measured at a local jewelry shop.

All ring sizes specified in the listings are US ring sizes. Please check a conversion chart if you know your ring size in another country’s parameter, or get in touch with me at pluvialfern@outlook.it for help.

Chain lengths are reported in inches.

Since every jump ring in my work is soldered closed, I cannot modify chain lengths easily. If strictly necessary, though I can add an extension for an additional cost.

Shopping collections

Being a one-woman show, I do my best to create as many pieces as I can without sacrificing the quality of my work and customer service. I try to replenish the shop with themed collections every month or every other month.

I always announce the release date and time on my Instagram, website and with a newsletter. Full collection previews happen on my Instagram 1-2 days before the shop update. And of course I am always glad to answer any questions!

I do not accept holds or reservations on collection pieces.

I follow the rule of the “first come first served” to make it as fair as possible to all customers.

Pieces tend to go fairly quick, so set your alarms in advance if you have your eyes on something!
